1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using lithos.co ("the Platform"), operated by Lapis Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Lithos is a natural stone discovery platform that provides a searchable database of natural stone profiles, a directory of stone industry professionals, editorial content, and consulting services. The Platform is provided "as is" for informational and discovery purposes.

3. User Accounts

Some features require creating an account. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your credentials, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Business Listings

Business information in our directory is compiled from public sources, industry databases, and user submissions. If you are a business owner, you may claim and manage your listing. By claiming a listing, you represent that you have authority to act on behalf of that business.

We reserve the right to verify, modify, or remove any listing at our discretion. Listing placement and ranking are determined by our proprietary algorithms and may include both free and paid tiers.

5. Stone Information

Stone profiles, technical data, and specifications are provided for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, natural stone varies by quarry, block, and slab. We do not guarantee that any specific stone will match the properties, colors, or characteristics shown on the Platform. Always verify specifications with your supplier and consult relevant industry standards (e.g., ASTM, NSI) before specifying.

6. Consulting Services

Our consulting services provide stone specification guidance based on our expertise. Recommendations are advisory in nature. We are not liable for project outcomes, material performance, or decisions made based on our guidance. Final specification decisions remain the responsibility of the project team.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform to scrape, harvest, or collect data for competing services
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Interfere with the operation of the Platform or its infrastructure
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate another person or business

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including text, images, data, design, and software — is owned by or licensed to Lapis Labs LLC unless otherwise noted. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Stone photography contributed by suppliers remains the property of the respective owners and is used with permission or under license.

9. User Content

By submitting content (inquiries, reviews, messages, listing updates), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Platform.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lapis Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
